Just as an FYI - as I posted to the FA Twitter, we have put out a few quotes and bids on alternative hosting for other colos. We find the current situation to be unacceptable, and do not approve of how things are being handled.
While we we do not have new information at this time, we're checking into and examining all available options.

- We've found a solid co-location facility in Montreal, Canada. I am waiting to hear back from some other quotes at this time.

- Talking to two other colos - one of which is in walking distance from my apartment. They local one is offering a deal that may be "too good to be true" due to recent expansion (they're trying to fill space ASAP, so the deal may be legit) but we're investigating it. It *is* from a legit company that's been in business for 10+ years, so... we'll check it out.
More detail as follows. We're not rushing into this, and we want to do things right. |

Imagine how we feel when our ISP, which supposedly has redundant links, seems to have perennial peering issues.
Pretty much the only way you're going to be getting your wholesome, furry goodness *cough* at this point is by throwing a party in the server room. (And I'd imagine that S&D would take issue with that.)
tl;dr - ISP's shit's broke. Nothing we can do about it. Patience is a virtue. Etc, etc, etc.
PS: I totally just noticed that I haven't done stats in like... two months. Not that I can do it now. Servers are inaccessible. :D

Well, what can I say. Our ISP is still not talking to us. (And I'm sure anyone who is resourceful can dig up who our ISP is.)
Going on 24 hours with no updates. When we know something, we'll post it.
We also have no plans to ask for donations for this problem. Because it won't actually solve the problem, in this case.

Long long week. I think the worst part about being a starving artist is the crazy-ass work weeks. It isn't an incredibly cerebral job, comicking I mean, and it definitely isn't digging ditches. The way it is for me, I spend all my time in full burn and still feel like I could have put more effort into it if only I had not slacked off.
Thank god it's such an emotionally rewarding line of work. I prefer bartering my services anyway, so the charge I get from a good update that resonates with readers is my paycheck and I am happy to cash it in when my brains are frying gently in my head and I need to feel useful. Ah the life of a recovering codependent who enjoys drawing the asses of perky young women in action poses.
Tonight I watched a video of time lapsed human decomposition. It was incredible, and a little sad. Definitely made me feel like a mortal creature to see a member of my species transform from a person into a biohazardous soup of fluid and bugs right before my eyes.
But you know, mortality doesn't bother me as much as it used to. The basic processes of biology and decay are pretty fucking grody, but it's all part of a natural system. Normal. Not so scary, more galvanizing. It makes me want to work harder to live a fucking awesome life. If nothing else, it'll make my fat ass harder for the maggots to chew, and I am all about giving those little shits a rough time. |

My husband bought 45 yards of this fabric. When I asked why he said "I got it all for 6.00!" It was *his* great thrift store find.
What the hell he expected me to do with it, even he doesn't know. That added to 20 yards of crushed black velvet he wanted in our bedroom (and I vetoed), he's deserving a little disturbance in *his life*.
So I bought these two pictures and stuffed them in the bathroom so creepy little girls can stare at him while he pees. He's definitely disturbed.
And lucky I'm not making him clothes out of all that fabric. |

NCARC will provide the KF4RRY repeater at Further Confusion this coming year! Radio related scheduling will be announced on the machine, and QSL cards may be available from FCAV staff in the Imperial Ballroom, workload permitting.
Full duplex UHF: 441.500, + offset, PL 100.0
Half duplex VHF: 147.555 PL 100.0 (cross-band repeat, simplex)
(For the truly observant, these are indeed the same frequencies used at MFF'09)
Frequencies will be confirmed approximatly two weeks before the convention. Hope to hear you on the air! |

I gotta apologize. I went to the HUGE thrift shop we have last week but since we didn't intend to go there, I didn't even have my cell on me, much less my camera. It was so full of "The 80s called, they want their puke back." It hurt me with each step that I couldn't take pics. XD Maybe next time.
